This book is a valuable work by Dr. Willem Flore, a Dutch Iranologist. This book examines the history and various aspects of paper in Iran.
The detailed data presented in this work not only introduces the countries exporting paper to Iran and shows the routes of goods entering the market and how the paper market has changed over time, but also identifies European and non-European producers by referring to the bottom of the papers. The diversity in quality, composition and nature of different types of paper is also discussed in this work based on extensive documents and evidence obtained from international institutions.
Finally, while examining the diverse and extensive uses of paper, as little and very detailed data as possible has been presented. It is clear that this work will bear fruit with future research that will be conducted to expand and deepen our knowledge of the use and production of paper in and for Iran.
